In the farm we have for many years been passionate about the breeding of horse's and have been bewitched by the Noriker horse, because of the size and the character.

It wasn't easy to start our stud farm because there are very few Noriker horses in Friuli , that's why we decided to travel to Austria where the breed is well represented and has a large number of devoted followers.

The breed was common in Friuli till the end of the fifty's, up until which time it used as workhorse.
The Horse was later replaced by tractors and today is threatened with extinction.
That's why the regional agricultural development policy is to further the breeding of Noriker horses.

Our Noriker are trained as saddle horse and are perfect for trekking. Safe and reliable, thanks to the size of the hoofs, they are ideal to ride (and gallop) on every kind of path. Perfect for nature lovers and outdoor riding. A rustic and capable horse easy to manage.

It's easy to get used to Noriker horses and very hard later change.

Origins:
The origin of the breed is very old. The Romans eveloped the farming in the Noricum alpine region, which today is Styria and Kaernten (South Austria). The breed was rought to Friuli through what is now Slovenia and were sed till the end of the fifty’s as a workhorse. During the wars these horses were used to draw pieces of ordnance.
